Alicia L. Gutierrez
Alicia L. Gutierrez, a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has been with the Firm since 1988 and a shareholder of the Firm since 1991. Alicia earned a finance degree from UNM’s Robert O. Anderson School of Business in 1981 and her law degree from UNM in 1986. Ms. Gutierrez' practice focuses on employment law, banking and real estate.
In 1986, she was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar, U.S. District Court, District of New Mexico, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. She served as a Director of Plaza National Bank, was active in the New Mexico Bankers Association, and in 1994 was the Chairman of the Business Section of the State Bar of New Mexico.
Ms. Gutierrez has a passion about giving her time to volunteer activities. She served on the City of Albuquerque's Airport Advisory Board from 1989 to 1995, City of Albuquerque's Personnel Board from 1995 to 1998. She has been a Trustee of the Catholic Foundation, A Child's Garden Pre-School, and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Manzano Day School. Alicia and her husband, Dennis Rivera, have two children who are active in sports. Alicia has refereed her children's soccer games, and she is a former New Mexico State Racquetball champion, Class A Division. She is an avid runner and weight lifter.
