S. Scott Davis

S. Scott Davis graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1974, received his law degree from Washburn University in 1979, and received his advanced degree in tax law from the University of Denver in 1980. He is licensed to practice law in all of the courts in the State of New Mexico, Federal District Court, and U.S. Tax Court. He has practiced law in the tax, estate planning, business planning and probate areas, including probate litigation, since passing the bar in 1979 and is a member of the Taxation section of the State Bar of New Mexico. He also has practiced law in the areas of guardianship, conservatorship, adoption, name change and pre and post-nuptial agreements. He has served as a director in several Albuquerque nonprofit organizations and enjoys playing music in several local musical groups, as a drummer. Scott founded his own firm in 1984 and then practiced solo from 1990 to 2001. He joined the Moses Law Firm in 2001. Scott has lectured to insurance and nonprofit groups, as well as, home builders associations on life insurance, trusts, charitable gifting and other estate planning topics and the Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, March 1, 1952; admitted to bar, 1979, New Mexico and U.S. District Court, District of New Mexico. Education: University of New Mexico (B.A., 1974); Washburn University School of Law (J.D., 1979); University of Denver (L.L.M., 1980).
